Meditation Classes
What to Expect at a Class
The meditation classes are open to everyone and ideal for beginners. Each class includes simple guided meditations and an informal talk about meditation and Buddhism. The classes are designed to be self-contained, so you can drop in whenever is convenient for you. There is a facility fee of £5.00 per class. This is to cover the hire of venues, publicity, and to pay for travel costs.
Course: The Path to Peace
The course is based on the book Introduction to Buddhism by Venerable Kelsang Gyatso. This compelling introduction explains the essential principles of the Buddhist way of life and what it means to be a Buddhist. Meditation is explained clearly and simply as a tool for developing qualities such as inner peace, love and patience. By reading this book we will discover that 2,500 years after the passing of Buddha his message continues to resonate.
