“There are many difficult and unpleasant circumstances that we cannot avoid, but we can certainly avoid the unhappiness and anger these circumstances normally provoke in us. It is these habitual reactions to hardship, rather than the hardship itself, that disturb our day-to-day peace of mind, as well as our spiritual practice.”
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche (How to Solve our Human Problems)
Imagine how our life would be if we had the confidence to encounter difficulties without the fear of the pain we normally experience.
In this course we will look at practical methods that increase our resilience and ability to maintain a peaceful, positive mind.
This course is suitable for everyone, beginners welcome.
The teacher for this course is Gen Kelsang Gakyi, Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Nottingham, much respected for her ability to present Buddha’s teachings with warmth, humour and clarity.
How to find us (Gedling House)
Free parking is available at the centre.
Disabled access and accessible parking available.
Directions :
Please note that some sat-navs show an entrance to Wood Lane from Colliery Way that does not exist! The only way to enter Wood Lane is via Shearing Hill/Main Street, Gedling.
We are situated at the end of Wood Lane, past the school. Wood Lane splits into two at the school entrance – so keep going straight ahead, rather than carrying on left up the hill. See map above.
Kadampa Meditation Centre Nottingham at Gedling House should be available on sat-navs, or you may wish to use ‘What3words’: spare.reader.ruled.
Please take care driving down the lane as we are blessed with a lot of wildlife.
