Our meditation classes on Monday evenings (7 – 8.15pm) are suitable for everyone, but are particularly helpful for those interested in learning more about Buddhist meditation and practice.
Each class is self-contained and on a drop-in basis, but attending the whole course may help in gaining a deeper understanding of the practice.

We often make New Year resolutions, but they often don’t last long. We’ve all been there! But why do we make them? Usually, it’s because we are looking to change things we don’t like or which we want it improve, or because we want to free ourselves from things, habits, people or places which may be a cause of unhappiness in our lives. We may simply have a wonderful dream or goal we have always wanted to achieve.
However, happiness and suffering are states of mind, and so their main causes are not to be found outside the mind regardless of how we try to control or change the world around us. Whilst these changes can help temporarily, if we want true lasting happiness and to be free from our problems, we must learn how to control our mind.
In this 6 week course, we will discover how by training our mind in meditation and becoming familiar with positive states of mind we can make deep and lasting inner changes which will lead us to the happiness and contentment we all seek, regardless of our external circumstances, the difficulties we face or the hardships we experience. We will begin to appreciate true happiness is found in the mind not “out there”.
Join us for these easy-to-understand teachings and learn practical meditations we can all use in our daily life to create a “Happy New You” which can stay with you through all challenges we face.
The classes are offered in-person on Monday evenings at 7pm at KMC Nottingham, Gedling House.
