Description
Our meditation classes on Monday evenings (7 – 8.15pm) are suitable for everyone, but are particularly helpful for those interested in learning more about Buddhist meditation and practice.
Each class is self-contained and on a drop-in basis, but attending the whole course may help in gaining a deeper understanding of the practice.
The BIG Question: How to be happy (and stay happy)?
Gen Kelsang Dornying (Resident Teacher, KMC Leeds) has been teaching Kadampa Buddhism for more than 20 years, and has taught all over the world. He is an inspiring and light-hearted teacher of modern Buddhism who makes Buddha’s teachings clear, accessible and applicable to everyone’s daily life.
We are delighted to welcome Gen Dornying as guest teacher to introduce a series of classes exploring the important question of how to be & stay happy.
The truth is happiness is not something we can acquire from the outside, but is a vast ocean that’s waiting to be discovered within us.
This introductory talk will be followed by a six-week course on Monday evenings with Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Gakyi.
Beginners welcome.
The classes are offered in-person on Monday evenings at 7pm at KMC Nottingham, Gedling House.
- £7.00 per class or £40 for seven-week course
- Free for members
Booking recommended for introductory talk on 9 September. For remainder of classes booking not essential, payment can be made on arrival (card or cash payments welcome).
EVERYONE WELCOME
