Our meditation classes on Monday evenings (7 – 8.15pm) are suitable for everyone, but are particularly helpful for those interested in learning more about Buddhist meditation and practice.
Each class is self-contained and on a drop-in basis, but attending the whole course may help in gaining a deeper understanding of the practice.
During the class there is an opportunity to ask questions and you are welcome to stay afterwards for refreshments.
The first four classes are on the theme ‘Choose Love’:
“Love is the real inner protection against suffering.” (Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche)
2 June: How does love protect us against suffering?
9 June: How can we change our view of others?
16 June: How to develop authentic compassion
23 June: How to develop unconditional love
The programme for the remaining four classes will follow in due course.
The classes are offered in-person on Monday evenings at 7pm at KMC Nottingham, Gedling House and available as a livestream to members.
The teacher for this course is Gen Kelsang Gakyi, Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Nottingham, much respected for her ability to present Buddha’s teachings with warmth, humour and clarity.
