Our meditation classes on Monday evenings (7 – 8.15pm) are suitable for everyone, but are particularly helpful for those interested in learning more about Buddhist meditation and practice.
Each class is self-contained and on a drop-in basis, but attending the whole course may help in gaining a deeper understanding of the practice.
The Six Perfections
What does it mean to be a bodhisattva, a ‘friend of the world’?
This Buddhist term refers to a person who has developed the most loving heart possible, known as ‘the supreme good heart of bodhichitta’ by training in the ‘six perfections’ of giving, moral discipline, patience, joyful effort, concentration and wisdom.
In these classes we explore the six perfections, focusing on practical ways of weaving them into our home and work lives, our relationships and our other activities, such that everything we think, say and do becomes profoundly beneficial to others, and a cause of our own inner peace, healing and happiness.
During the class there is an opportunity to ask questions and you are welcome to stay afterwards for refreshments.
The classes are offered in-person on Monday evenings at 7pm at KMC Nottingham, Gedling House and available as a livestream to members.
£7.00 per class or £42 for seven-week course
Free for members
