Description

Sunday 20 September (11 – 3.30)

Come and visit Gedling House a Grade 2 listed Georgian mansion, now our home. Enjoy our lovely building and grounds – we’ll have history talks, displays, meditation taster sessions, bric a brac and cakes and snack refreshments.

Gedling House was built in 1790 as the home of Nottingham banker Thomas Smith. Over the next 230+ years it was home to many significant Nottingham families, the war office, the museum service, wedding venue, offices and today it is the home of Kadampa Meditation Centre Nottingham.

We welcome our local community – on our open day you can learn about the history of the house and occupants, attend a talk by local historian Mo Cooper, try a taster meditation session and enjoy refreshments in our grand dining room or gardens – Access to ground floor and grounds only.

No need to book – just turn up!

EVERYONE WELCOME

Disabled access and accessible parking available.

Directions :

We are situated at the end of Wood Lane, past the school. Wood Lane splits into two at the school entrance – so keep going straight ahead, rather than carrying on left up the hill. See map above.

Please take care driving down the lane as we are blessed with a lot of wildlife.
