Description

Our meditation classes on Tuesday evenings (6:30-7:30pm) are suitable for everyone, but are particularly helpful for those interested in learning more about Buddhist meditation and practice.

Each class is self-contained and on a drop-in basis, but attending the whole course may help in gaining a deeper understanding of the practice.

“Happiness is a part of our mind that experiences inner peace, or peace of mind, so the real source of  happiness must lie within the mind and not in external conditions.”

“The first steps to changing our mind is to identify which minds produce happiness and which produce suffering”

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso: Eight Steps to Happiness

In this seven week course we explore the beautiful and powerful minds of love and compassion which enable us to remain calm and peaceful while responding in a positive and beneficial way to difficult situations.

This series of meditation classes is suitable both for those new to Buddhist meditation and those more familiar with the practice.

Transform your Mind with Loving Kindness:

3 Nov:  How Love Makes Us Happier

10 Nov:  Finding Balance in Our Relationships

17 Nov:  Letting Go of the Problem

24 Nov: Opening our Heart with Compassion

1 Dec: Learning to Love Others

8 Dec: Taking Away Suffering

15 Dec: Giving Happiness to Others

During the class there is an opportunity to ask questions and you are welcome to stay afterwards for refreshments.

The classes are offered in-person on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm at Middle Street Resource Centre, Middle Street Beeston. NG9 2AR
