Description

We all have to encounter difficulties and unwanted situations  – it is part of life. No matter how hard we try, we cannot prevent things from ever going wrong.

However, in reality, it is our response to unwanted situations and difficult relationships that are the actual cause of our stress and pain.

By learning to respond to difficult situations with a more positive and balanced mind, things do not have to be problems for us. In fact, we can even see difficulties as an opportunity for growth and inner development.

Join us for this practical course and learn how to stay strong when things go wrong

On this course you will learn:

  • How to pause and think before you react
  • How to create mental space that enable you to respond more creatively
  • How to be more objective about difficulties
  • How to turn difficulties to your advantage

This course is suitable for people new to meditation as well as those with experience.

The course will consist of two sessions, with guided meditation and advice for a happy life.

There will also be opportunities to relax in the break and ask questions.

This course is suitable for everyone.

Programme

  • 10:00 – 11.15 am: First session
  • 11:15 – 11.45 am: Break & refreshments
  • 11.45 – 1 pm: Second session

The event concludes at 1:00pm.

Booking recommended.

Details of membership are available here.

How to find us (Gedling House)

Free parking is available at the centre.

Disabled access and accessible parking available.

Directions :

Please note that some sat-navs show an entrance to Wood Lane from Colliery Way that does not exist! The only way to enter Wood Lane is via Shearing Hill/Main Street, Gedling.

We are situated at the end of Wood Lane, past the school. Wood Lane splits into two at the school entrance – so keep going straight ahead, rather than carrying on left up the hill. See map above.

Kadampa Meditation Centre Nottingham at Gedling House should be available on sat-navs, or you may wish to use ‘What3words’: spare.reader.ruled.

Please take care driving down the lane as we are blessed with a lot of wildlife.

Buses:

The nearest bus stops:

44 & 44A: Main Road, Gedling (Church View stop) – walk to mini-roundabout, down towards Shearing Hill and left into Wood Lane.

26, 26A, N26: Burton Road (Florence Road stop) – walk up Coronation Walk and through the pedestrian alley to Wood Lane.
