Description
Our ability to remain mindful and focused on peaceful, positive states of mind is essential for a happy life. It is also a foundation for developing the deeper spiritual realizations that lead us to enlightenment.
In today’s overstimulated and distracted world, many people find it difficult to cultivate stable mindfulness and concentration. As a result, we remain trapped in uncontrolled mental states such as anxiety, stress and worry.
On this course you will learn:
- What is Mindfulness?
- To hold a meditation object in your mind to avoid distraction.
- Single-pointedly focus your mind to calm mental busyness and build emotional resilience.
- How to bring these meditative techniques out of the meditation room and into everyday modern life
This course is suitable for people new to meditation as well as those with experience.
The course will consist of two sessions, with guided meditation and advice
There will also be opportunities to relax in the break and ask questions.
This course is suitable for everyone.
Programme
- 10:00 – 11.15 am: First session
- 11:15 – 11.45 am: Break & refreshments
- 11.45 – 1 pm: Second session
The event concludes at 1:00pm.
